In The City

In the city of Montreal Canada, May 2006.

Travel inspires me probably more than anything else! I find myself looking back through my travel photos time and time again. Starting this month I’d like to share some of my travel pics with you on a regular basis.

Photo #1, what you see in the background is Mt. Royal (the city is named after it).

Photo #2 is in old Montreal

Photo #3 is a view from the top of Mt. Royal

Montréal is the largest city in Québec. Predominantly French-speaking, it’s set on an island in the Saint Lawrence River and named after Mt. Royal, the triple-peaked hill at its heart.

“The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see.” Gilbert K. Chesterton

    1. Yes Otto, and like all big beautiful cities, it’s much more fun to explore without a hard rigid schedule and go with the flow. Walking a city has been the best way for me to find inspiration and unexpected beauty! The non-tourist attractions are always great.
