The Creative Process of “Be Inspired”

Screen Shot 2013-03-28 at 7.35.54 PM My book has been in the making for a few years now and when I look back at the first version I am almost embarrassed. But not enough to regret having started the process when I did. It’s a creative process that had to begin somewhere and be tested, used, edited, revised and then repeated. Some of the best changes that came about were very recently after meeting with a friend and just in conversation he said something that caused a light bulb to go off in my head. A couple of weeks later someone else mentioned something else and there you go….the neurons in my brain were exploding. And all of these recent improvements came about after talk of taking my book to be transformed into an app. That’s my next exciting creative process.

So I just wanted to share this with you and encourage you to be inspired with your own creations and enjoy the process.

“The creative process requires more than reason. Most original thinking isn’t even verbal. It requires ‘a groping experimentation with ideas, governed by intuitive hunches and inspired by the unconscious.’ The majority of business men are incapable of original thinking because they are unable to escape from the tyranny of reason. Their imaginations are blocked.” David Ogilvy

Until next time, be well, sleep well, love well, and create something every day! ~Maria
