Where Good Ideas Come From

This video by Steven Johnson is absolutely right on! He conveys his message very well and to the point in 5 minutes with excellent graphics. Well worth taking 5 minutes of your time.

This video reminded me of something I read in “If You Want To Write” by Brenda Ueland.  “Tolstoi felt that it was important to be idle, because thoughts come so slowly. For what we write today slipped into our souls some other day when we were alone and doing nothing. What you write today is the result of some span of idling yesterday, some fairly long period of protection from talking and busyness.”
