I love typography and find that there are so many different looks you can get for the same word. Here’s one of my favorite creative tasks from my notebook.

Your Creative Task For Today:
Letters and numbers are beautiful and artistic but we usually don’t notice.
Using your computer’s word processor, type the word “Simplify” using at least 24 point. type.
Copy and paste it 10 times on a single page.
Select a different font for each one.
Now select a different color for each one.

Notice the difference in the fonts, looking at the details of the letters. By doing this exercise, you will become more aware of the design elements in your publications. Play with the type and rotate it if you have that option.

Let me know if you found this helpful or fun.
