Meet Maria

Thank you for visiting my blog. I am an Austin-based artist, writer, and teacher of creativity with over 30 years experience in graphic design, art, advertising, and publishing. For more information please visit my website:

“Creativity is not just for artists. It’s for businesspeople looking for a new way to close a sale; it’s for engineers  trying to solve a problem; it’s for parents who want their children to see the world in more than one way.” Twyla Tharp

  1. I like what you are teaching- Please let me know when your going to be in Houston. I am pretty creative but its always nice to see what ideas others have.

    1. Leisa…Thank you…..I have a sister in Sugar Land and will try to set something up in that area soon. I’ll post all workshops here to keep you posted.

  2. I think that I could benefit from your teachings, more so now that I’ve been unemployed for 17 months & needing to be productive in some material way to avoid total depression. I wonder if you’d be willing to allow me to provide some services for your home or landscape in return for your course of enlightenment?

  3. Hi! This is my first visit to your blog! We are a group of volunteers and starting a new project in a community in the same niche.
Your blog provided us useful information to work on. You have done a outstanding job!

  4. Maria:

Hi!! Didi Roland is a friend and told me about your group. How do I get involved? And I saw your workbook. And really liked it!!!!! I did Theater in my youth and am starting to paint again and have done some writing. The whole trick with being creative is to DO it 🙂
